Terms and Conditions of Booking

SAMPHIRE BEACH HOUSE BOOKING CONDITIONS

The contract for a short-term holiday rental shall be made between the guest and the owner subject to the following booking conditions:

BREAKAGES OR DAMAGE

Any damage or breakages, which may occur, must be paid for and will be deducted from the cautionary deposit as necessary and with prior notification to the guest.

CANCELLATION

Any cancellation made by the guest for what ever reason shall be in writing and addressed to Ruth Crimes at the address shown on the right.

On receipt of notice of cancellation, the owner will seek to re-let the property for the whole period of the booking. If the owner succeeds in re-letting the property for the whole period it shall refund all the monies paid less an administrative charge of £50.00 per booking. If the owner only succeeds in re-letting the property for part of the period booked it shall refund an amount equal to the monies paid less (1) the rental for the period that is not re-let and (2) an administrative charge of £50.00 per booking. If the owner is unable to re-let the property before the final payment is due, the guest still remains liable for the final payment on the due date as indicated in the Payment section. If the owner is successful in re-letting the property for the whole or part of the period of the booking after the guest has made the final payment, the guest will be reimbursed in accordance with the refund conditions above.

The owner strongly advises that you take out separate holiday cancellation insurance.

DUTY OF CARE

The property is maintained to a high standard. In the event of a breakdown a repair/replacement shall be found/fitted within 24 hours where possible and within 3 working days at the maximum. 

The owner cannot be held liable for any loss arising from loss of use of the service/item within the specified time limit.

NEIGHBOURLY BEHAVIOUR

The guest is to behave considerately to the neighbours, including in respect of the playing of loud music.

NUMBER OF GUESTS

The number of persons occupying the property must not exceed the maximum number stipulated (6 adults and 2 children). The owners reserve the right to decline accommodation and to order any unauthorised person off the premises. The bunk beds are to be used by pre-teens only.

PARKING

Off-street parking is provided at the property for two cars.  The guest is not permitted on-street within Marine Drive West, although alternative parking is available in the nearby area if parking is required for more than 2 cars.

PARTIES AND EVENTS

Please note that the property is not permitted to be used for the holding of a wedding or wedding vow renewal ceremony or party, or any other party or event. Nor is the property permitted to be used by stag or hen groups. If the property is found to be being used in such a way, that will amount to a breach of these terms and conditions and the owner will immediately terminate your stay at the property with 2 hours' notice and without reimbursement.

PERIOD OF HIRE

Rentals commence at 3.00 pm on the day of arrival and terminate at 10.00 am on the day of departure.

PETS

The owner does not allow pets at Samphire Beach House.

RIGHT OF ENTRY

The owner reserves the right to enter the property at any reasonable time for purposes of inspection or to carry out necessary repairs or maintenance.

RIGHT TO REFUSE

The owner reserves the right to refuse any booking and in exceptional circumstances, to cancel, modify or alter arrangements made for the guest.

SMOKING

Smoking is not permitted at the property, whether in the house (including outbuilding) or on the verandah or balcony.
